How would you bring around an unwilling roommate to letting you feed your ferret live breeder mice?

My roommate and I agree on just about everything, or at least I go along with what she wants because I do not feel like arguing, but I just recently got a ferret.Now from what I've read the best, most healthy way to feed your ferrets, is a Live Diet, meaning letting it 'hunt' its own food, aka breeder mice or chicks, etc. My Roommate however says she refuses to have any live things killed for food in the household. I don't want to make her angry but this is what I think is most healthy and best for, my ferret, Lady. Please, any advice would be helpful, I've already pointed out to her that it is the healthiest route possible, but she's unbend-able, and I want my ferret the healthiest it can be.
