Anybody that knows about Piercings please help -.-?

I Am planing to get a marilyn monroe piercing on june 9th .The only problem is on June 10th I have a dentist appointment the my mom is unwilling to change because, she spent countless hours on the phone trying to get me one . And I cant get it the next day because, me and my bestfriend are planing to get it together on the same day and on June 10th she has other plans . The question I am asking is Would I have to take out the piercing to go to the dentist ? I have no idea what there going to do and I have perfect teeth so no root canals or anything like that . Please helpp ;/
