Can daddy's birth weight give an indicator how big baby will be?

My husband weighed 10 lbs 2oz and was over 28 in long. I've heard that baby usually takes after daddy, and our last 20 wks scan showed a very, very long legged and 14 oz girl :) I'm just wondering how likely it is she will take after her father? I'm not worried about a C/S or anything, but I was picking out clothes yesterday and wondered if I should hold off on newborn sizes and bump up to 0-3 or 3-9 month sizes....
