What does it mean when a relationship run its course?

To be honest the relationship seemed quite juvenile from the way you described it. And I don't think it ran its course because there was no course to begin with. To be in a relationship you have to spend time together, you just have too. It sounds like you guys could just be casual friends. And I mean come on really you guys lived in the same neighborhood!
