How can I treat hoof rot?

One of my best friends is a Satyr and last night he took of his shoes and let his hooves out and that was when I saw that his left hoof is starting to rot. Grover is scared to go to Dionysus, he is the guy who looks after them...sort of. Well Mr D(ionysus) isn't the most friendly person in the world and Grover is scared that Mr D will chop his hoof off so he's not going. I will try and treat the rot myself. Is they anything I can use to treat rot? What do people use on goats and sheep with hoof rot?
