I have posted a parcel to South Africa from the UK, track & trace says its in Australia?

I sent a parcel to South Africa a week ago from the UK, when I go on the Royal Mail tracker, it says its awaiting delivery in Australia. My confirmation receipt definitely has the destination country as South Africa. Would anything sent from the UK go via OZ to get to SA?!?! Slightly concerned about this....any answers would be greatly appreciated!!
